Mary Wigley, British, 19th century. An early 19th century oil on canvas portrait of "Old Johnson of Argyllshire". Half length depiction of an older Scottish gentleman wearing a tartan cape and hat with landscape in the distance. Signed "Mary Wigley" and dated "1835" lower right, titled at label verso with annotated tag from "Hannah Thompson" verso. Slight craquelure and surface grunge. Image 12 1/2 x 15 1/2" high, in a Gilded wood frame with damage, 20 1/2 x 23 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $300-400
