M1881 Infantry Dress Helmet by Horstmann Co.

William H. Horstmann Company (American, founded 1815) mixed materials. A M1881 Infantry dress helmet. The liner is stamped Wm. H. Horstmann Co. Phila, PA Contract May 20th 1896 and QMD /Phila Depot. It has an eagle plate attached to the front of the helmet.

Dimensions: 11 1/4 inches tall X 8 1/2 inches wide; 28.6 cm tall X 21.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Wear to the metal pieces.
