MACEDON. Kingdom of Macedon. Time of Antigonos I Monophthalmos to Lysimachos, 320-281 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (16.84 gms), Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor, ca. 310-290 B.C. NEARLY EXTREMELY FINE.

Pr-1697 (Mytilene). In the name and types of Alexander III (the Great). Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding scepter and eagle; lyre in left field. Rather well centered and struck, this RARE and pleasing posthumous issue features light toning and only mild, even wear throughout.
