These unpublished portraits of Felipe V and María Luisa Gabriela de Saboya are an important contribution to the set of portraits belonging to the first marriage of the first king of the House of Bourbon in Spain. Of the set of portraits that are preserved of the royal couple, the latter have the particularity of being the first since they show both kings at an early age. Possibly they were made during the first years of their marriage, back in 1701. Although there is a discrepancy of opinions about her authorship, both portraits, despite the oxidized varnish they present, give us a glimpse of works of great quality.
