MAGNIFICENT SILVER DOUBLE HANDLED GOBLET WITH DEDICATION FOR THE SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY OF COUNT

MAGNIFICENTSILVER DOUBLE HANDLED GOBLET WITH DEDICATION FOR THE SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY OF COUNT ADOLF HEINRICH VON ARNIM-BOITZENBURG IN 1855.

Date: Ca. 854.
Technique: Silver with gold-plated interior, coloured enamel.
Description: Rising round base on four paw feet with moulded shaft. Serpentine, bell-shaped dome with doubled volute handles. The edges and the lower part set off by acanthus relief and laurel decor.
Below the rim a wide band with oak leaves and cartouches in the centre. On one side the coat of arms of Count Adolf Heinrich von Arnim-Boitzenburg and his wife Anna Caroline, née von der Schulenburg, and on the other the dedication inscription: "In memory of the celebration of the silver wedding of Your Excellency the Royal Privy Minister of State Count von Arnim-Boytzenburg and Her Excellency the Minister of State Countess von Arnim-Boytzenburg, née von der Schulenburg. Arnim-Boytzenburg née Countess v.d. Schulenburg. Wolfsburg 4 August 1855".
