MAIN-GAUCHE

In the Spanish-Italian style of the 17th century, work of the 19th century.
Iron hilt, mushroom-shaped pommel, rivet head, long quillons. Triangular guard plate, decorated with the head of a woman, stylized leaves, tendrils, flowers and fruits. Ribbed grip, wrapped with fine iron wire. Double-edged blade (L 39.8 cm), ricasso, with thumb rests, pierced holes, etched decoration.
L 53.1 cm.
