MALINDA "HONEY" BEEMAN (American/Texas b. 1949) A PRINT, "Ritz Theater, Peliculas Mexicanas," ARTIST PROOF, color lithograph on paper, signed in pencil in margin, "Honey Beeman," titled L/L, and marked artist proof center, "A.P." 21 1/2" x 27 1/2" Note: Honey Beeman, alternately called Malinda Beeman, participated in the inaugural exhibition of Woman-In-Sight: New Art in Texas; the show running from Saturday, October 27, 1979 - Sun Dec 9, 1979, was the first statewide juried exhibition of women artists ever held in Texas. It was Juried by Marcia Tucker, Director of The New Museum of New York. Teaching as a professor in Houston, she now devotes her time to goat farming in Marfa. Provenance: Estate of David E.
