Superb Tadep Figure, powerful and expressive.
Thick crusty patina. Typical hairstyle of inlaid wood rods.
For a long time, it was believed that these statues were ancestors figures.
It seems now that their use was rather for therapeutic and / or magical purposes.
The cavity dug in the back (which contains here a miniature replica of the statue) could be used to designate the culprit of a crime
