Depicting a smiling man with wine and bottle rendered in dramatic chiaroscuro. Unsigned. Accompanied by documents and notes acquired from purchase, dating this piece circa 1650. Frame measures H 30" x L 27".

Condition Report: As viewed under UV light, old varnish fluoresces. Minor degree of inpainting (spots to edges: ~5%). Observable and natural warp to wood panel for age, minor accretions to surface. Moderate edge wear to frame. CP
