MANUSCRIPT: S H A H (Sydenham Henry Augustus Hervey), 1846-1946: A manuscript volume, 291 numbered pages: the first 18 pages are Sermons, and the rest his Journal/Diary mainly written while in Bury St. Edmunds (1871-1906). Also includes tipped-in appointments (with the Bishop’s seal)- of Rev. John Frederick Arthur Hervey, when ordained as priest, etc. Plus a tipped in 3pp autograph letter signed, from Charles Heathcote, Florys, Wimbledon Park, July 11th to the Lord Bishop of Bath & Wells (Arthur Charles Hervey) with reference to Heathcote’s brother being deprived by Alfred Lyttelton of his position as Amateur Champion of Tennis.
