You are bidding on selected inclusions from one of the largest collections in Germany, which consists of amber from all over the world (Baltics, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Burma) , and I am offering them for auction for age-related reasons. Authenticity, quality and rarity are guaranteed, some pieces are suitable for museums, this is the case in an estimated percentage of less than 0,1 % of all finds. And this specimen is one of them! Burmite is the name of a type of amber found in an Eocene deposit (about 100 million years old) in Myanmar, from a time when DINOSAURS inhabited the planet! Burmite is known as the type of amber with the most inclusions, and there are more known variations of this amber than of all other deposits combined. It was only at that time, that various flora objects like blossoms, leaves, moss and ferns developed! This honey-coloured cabochon (2. 3 x 1. 2 cm) , which is suitable for jewellery, contains a rare maple leaf with about a dozen cone-shaped sporangia from a fungus with hemispherical base, which grew on the surface of the amber! It also contains a mite and a springtail. A special treat for those who appreciate the aesthetics of plants! 4 multilayer photos are attached.
