[ translate ]

SERIAL NUMBER: R29192. BARREL: 24". CALIBER: .22 S-L-LR. MANUFACTURED: 1958. The 1958 Marlin Model Golden 39A, identified by its "R" serial number prefix, is a premium, takedown lever-action rimfire rifle that represents a golden era of craftsmanship at the historic New Haven, Connecticut factory. Carrying the authentic, hand-inspected "JM" proof stamp on its 24-inch barrel, this vintage firearm features Marlin's highly accurate Micro-Groove rifling, which utilizes 16 shallow grooves to stabilize the bullet without distorting the lead casing. Visually distinguished by its signature gold-plated trigger and select American black walnut furniture, the rifle features a fluted comb, a black pistol grip cap with a white accent spacer, and the iconic black-and-white Marlin Bullseye inlaid into the bottom of the buttstock. Mechanically, it operates with a smooth, side-ejecting action and a high-capacity, full-length tubular magazine that holds up to 19 .22 Long Rifle rounds via a traditional brass inner tube. Built to be exceptionally practical, the rifle features a single-screw takedown design for rapid field stripping and relies solely on a traditional half-cock safety position on the hammer, completely preserving its clean, classic receiver profile without any modern cross-bolt safety obstructions. This rifle sports a vintage Weaver 22 TIP-OFF scope with a cross hair reticle. CONDITION: Very Good. 95%. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There are a few very minor handling / storage marks. The forend has a ever so slight fitment movement. The blueing is very nice. The scope glass is slightly foggy but also very useful. Operates normally. C&R 27-305
