Cal. 25-20M (WCF). S# 409056. Standard production with 24" tapered round barrel fitted with semi-buckhorn rear and German silver blade front sights. Marlin markings are at top center with last patent date "Aug 1 1893". Magazine is full length. Top of frame unmarked; top tang marked "Marlin" "MODEL '94". Varnished walnut stocks are fitted with "S" type steel buttplate and steel cap for forend. CONDITION: very good. Barrel and mag tube retaining most of their original blue with considerable scattered rusting. Action retains traces of case color. Bolt, hammer and loading gate have most of their original blue. Stocks retain over 60% of their original finish. Bore is fair to good. Rifling evident; frosted throughout (may clean). (26-4162/MGM). CURIO. $800-1,200.
