Ca. AD 1 - 300. A matched pair of gold earrings, each with a slender hoop fitted with a circular convex plaque bordered by twisted wire. A spherical pendant hangs below from a tapered suspension element. Size: 38-39mm x 12-13mm; Weight: 3g Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a distinguished New York private collection, assembled between 1975 and 1995. The collection was authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery.
