Company named after Matei Basarab, ruler of Wallachia 1632-1654, a period of prosperity for the region. Basarab encouraged the Wallachian language and installed the first printing-press in Wallachia, and his name appears widely in Romania today in the context of printing and publishing, and recently in computer education. Cert. shows Basarab, a printing-press, boat, cloth,owl and more, in a strong design. Again, extremely rare.
