MATHIAS JOSEPH ALTEN (AMERICAN, 1871-1938), OIL ON BOARD, H 10 1/2", W 13":Depicts four sheep and a male figure in a farm scene. Signed lower right. Framed. Alten was born in Germany and emigrated to Michigan. He studied in Paris at the Academie Julien with James Whistler.
