MAUSER SPORT-MODELL SM34 SINGLE SHOT RIFLE.

Cal. 22 LR. S# 14613. Bbl. 26" rnd., fitted w/ military style tangent rear sight & inverted V front through short ramp. Left rear marked w/ cal., S# & proofs. Model 1934 improved Mauser single shot action is ungrooved & has Mauser banner on top. Left side marked "MAUSERWERKE" & address. Right side marked "DUETCHES SPORT-MODELL" Bolt w/ pear shaped knob has flag safety. Military style walnut uncheckered stock w/ sling cut has, takedown disks, steel buttplate, & banded on handguard. CONDITION: metal parts retaining about 60% original blue. Stock w/ old, possibly original finish has a lg. number of minor marks & dings. Handguard looks to be a replacement. Fine shiny bore. Mechanically good. Front action screw possible replacement & does not fit flush. These are fairly scarce when made by Mauser. They retailed for $39 in 1939. (21-2548/MGM). CURIO. $500-900.
