A copy with good colouring of the plates of this work by Mayer dedicated to the Ottoman Empire. The author also published two parts dedicated to Egypt and Palestine in 1801 and 1804.
Folio (481 x 340mm). Double frontispiece in English and French, 24 aquatint plates finished by hand, catalogue of the plates at end (some light browning and occasional spotting). Contemporary half calf over marbled boards, gilt title on spine (extremities rubbed and chipped).
