M.C. Escher -N.V. de Verenigde Blikfabrieken - Isocaëder and two original factory pattern models
Designed by Maurits Cornelis Escher ( 1898 - 1972) and issued in 1963 by Verblifa (NV De Vereenigde Blikfabrieken) as a relationship gift on the occasion of the 75 years anniversary 1888–1963, this often documented and mentioned in catalogs, famous Dutch tin is in perfect condition together with two original cardboard factory pattern models from this days ( rather unique than very rare) .
This state of the art tin consists of 20 surfaces, an icosahedron, decorated with shells and starfish, after his own preliminary design from August of 1941. This tin is marked at the bottom with Escher logo combined with the years of the Vereenigde Blikfabrieken.
. A similar tin is prominently on display in the Escher Museum, The Hague.
