MEDIEVAL SILVER SEAL RING - BOW, ARROWS AND SCRIPT
Ca. 1300 – 1500 AD. Rare Medieval silver ring with round hoop; decorated edge; forming thick carved bezel depicting bow , arrow and script. The ring has Holy lands origin and the script in Ancient Greek sugegsts its Eastern origin. The iconographjy is rather interesting - the bow with two crossed arrows is possiblt a Heraldic crest; the crossed arrows are also symbol of unity.
