FIRST LATIN EDITION, translated from the original Dutch text by Abraham Blasio. Chapter 1 contains the earliest description of the use of a bone graft from a dog to repair a defect on the skull of a soldier, which was successful but had to be removed by order of the church, as it violated canon law.
