MEISSEN, PORCELAIN, ALLEGORICAL FIGURAL GROUP, H 15" W 14" Beautifully detailed Meissen porcelain, allegorical figural group, depicting the Mythical God Hermes being attended by two servants, with Putti at his feet and a Leopard behind him. One servant is pouring him wine and the other is placing a crown of Laurel leaves on his head. The base is signed "R" with the number 1762 underneath. At the base there is an old tag that states: From the E.H. Gulbenkian collection.
Condition Report: Tiny nick to horn at base and to the urn. Chip to leaf at laurel crown. The head of the lady pouring wine has been repaired at the neck and this repair is noticeable.
