MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURAL GROUP VENUS & CUPID

German, 19th C. An allegorical depiction of Venus and Cupid riding in a conch form chariot, hand painted and adorned with applied floral decoration and gilded accents. Venus is shown nude, with flowing blue drapery and holding an apple. Crossed blue sword mark to the underside, with moving wheels to the chariot.

Condition Report: Overall in good condition. Very minor signs of slight chipping in the floral detailing, only noted on close inspection. Appears to have possible minor restoration to the tip of one rung of the carriage, where wheel attaches. Condition report available upon request.
