Ce roadster est conçu pour être une petite 300SL. Créé en collaboration avec Max Hoffman, l'importateur Mercedes-Benz aux Etats-Unis, le modèle est présenté en 1954 à New-York.

Le design a été pensé par Karl Wilfert et Walter Hackert. Avec la 300SL ce sont les deux premières voitures de la gamme SL, pour " Sport Leicht ".

A l'arrêt de production de la 190SL en 1963, 25881 unités auront été produites. Voiture robuste, aux lignes travaillées, elle plait aux amateurs intéressés par une voiture élégante, performante et solide. Très bien construite elle permet un usage quotidien.

Notre véhicule est une seconde main, il a été vendu neuf en Allemagne. La capote est neuve, l'aile arrière gauche a été remplacée. Un hard-top est fourni .Un produit bitumeux a été appliqué dans le coffre et le soubassement. Révisé, il est prêt pour la route.

Our car is second hand, it was sold new in Germany. The bonnet is new, the left rear wing has been replaced. A bitumen product has been applied in the trunk and the underbody. It has been serviced and is ready for the road.
