Large Frame Single Action open top revolver, mfg. by Hopkins & Allen, Norwich, Ct,, the 7 barrel with blade front sight, the lettering ha worn off leaving only a few letters visible with a loupe at the barrel top, six round fluted cylinder, spur trigger, original ivory grips, the right grip with chips at both lower corners, number 13040 at butt next to lanyard ring, metal is mostly silver tone with black spots and retains only a small percentage of nickel plating, takedown mechanics in good order, action is good, bore is dark with discernible rifling, numbered 98 under left grip 2698 at inside of barrel lug and 2698 at back end of cylinder,
