MESSENGER AND SONS BRONZE AND BRASS THREE-PIECE ARGAND LAMP GARNITURE, comprising one two-arm and two single-arm examples with each having urn-form fonts, the single-arm examples having double handles to the side, matching bases, double arm with applied tags below the burner reading "MESSENGER & SONS/63 HATTON GARDEN LONDON/&BIRMINGHAM/MANUFACTURED FOR/ALFRED WELLES/BOSTON", single-arms with tag reading "JOHN B. JONES/BOSTON". Each with complete burners, double arm example having colorless slip chimneys and being topped by frosted Liverpool lamp shades. Messenger & Sons. First half 19th century. Double-arm: 15 1/2" HOA, 18 1/2" WOA. Single-arm: 13" HOA, 10" WOA.
