MG - A 1500 Roadster - 1959

Beautiful body-off restored MGA Roadster from 02-1959, this 1500 Roadster is in excellent condition, the restoration is very neat and professionally done between 2015 and 2020. This MGA features new Piano black paintwork, new Tartan red leather upholstery, a new mohair soft-top, fully coated chassis, new insulated bottom panels, new pipes and suspension! This A Roadster has new 15" chrome spoke rims (2020) . From Texas, USA, from the 2nd owner! This colour combination is fantastic! Deep black paint, Tartan red leather upholstery and a beautiful dashboard painted in the same colour and fitted with Jaeger gauges. Exterior: Perfect paintwork, solid bottom in excellent condition, restored (by the previous private owner between 2015 and 2020, invoices partly available!) , the paintwork is in perfect condition. The engine bay looks good and is painted in the same colour. The boot is sleek and solid, nice black colour with a red wheel cover. The doors, bonnet and boot lid have good hinges and locks. The MG has the original Lucas headlights and indicators, a new stainless steel exhaust from front to back and new door rubbers. The soft-top is new and in Tartan red, the set-up side windows are original and the soft-top frame is new. The chrome bumpers have been replaced and are in mint condition, the grille and badges are also new, original and perfect. An excellent MGA Roadster! Interior: The entire interior has beautiful deep Tartan red leather upholstery, the front seats have new filling and the frames were coated! The edges of the cabin also have leather parts. The interior features an original, new set of dark red carpets, new red door cards. The original Moto-Lita steering wheel is like new. Truly in excellent condition both inside and out. The MG gearstick knob is new and the dashboard has an original MGA speaker from 1959. The MGA Car Club Netherlands has included this MGA in its register, No 644. The interior is really in great condition! It even smells new! Mechanics: Fitted with the original 1498cc 4-cylinder engine with 72 HP and a 4-speed manual gearbox. The engine and all mechanical parts have been fully checked in our workshop, the car’s has had a complete maintenance service. The entire engine was restored and overhauled during the restoration, all loose edge parts have been replaced and both the engine and gearbox work well. The brakes and suspension are in excellent condition. New shock absorbers and brake cylinders have been fitted. The MGA starts and drives perfectly. Details: Originally newly delivered in the USA to the 1st owner in Texas and then to the 2nd owner in Dallas, the MGA was imported in the Netherlands a few years ago. It was registered in the Netherlands in 2020 after completing the restoration. We had the MGA Roadster valued by an independent valuation agency in late December, they described the Roadster as being in beautiful condition, they were amazed by the colour combination and finish. Various invoices available from the restoration as well as old photos, Texas US title, original registration plates, valuation report and a folder with current photos.
