MG - TD Roadster LHD - 1953

Left-hand-drive MG TD from 1953. German vehicle papers. Valid technical inspection (German TÜV) until 08/2022 (new) . New clutch (0 km) . New tyres (0 km) . The MG was imported from the USA in 2018 and has been in a German collection ever since. It has German papers since 2020. An interesting fact is that the car has a B16 engine as well as the transmission of a Volvo Amazon (year of construction 1956-1961) . This engine has a displacement of 1. 6 litres, which is more than the original factory 1. 25-litre motorisation of the MG. Of course, the conversion is registered in the German vehicle documents. Restoration work has been carried out in the past, but patina has become more and more apparent in the course of time. For example, the paint has some flaws and the state of conservation of the rims is moderate. While driving, it becomes apparent that the gearshift does not work smoothly. Depending on the buyer’s expectations, an overhaul/replacement of the transmission would be advisable; such a Volvo transmission is certainly easy to find.
