MG - TF 1500 - 1953

Beautiful MG TF from 1953 in absolute excellent condition! Body-off restored, all the woodwork was replaced, the sheet metal parts where chemically cleaned and a phosphate coating was applied followed by an epoxy primer. Layers of 2K paint were properly built up. The chassis was also chemically cleaned and an epoxy primer was applied. All suspension parts have new rubbers, the springs and shock absorbers arms were renewed. The car has chrome wheels with 60 spokes and Michelin XZX tyres. The rear axle has a new, long, final drive and new bearings. The gearbox has been replaced by a Ford 5-speed gearbox (the original gearbox is included) . The brakes were completely renewed and fitted with improved friction material, the braking system is filled with DOT 5 brake fluid. The interior was completely renewed as the original one, therefore a combination of leather and leatherette. All instruments were restored, the speedometer was calibrated and converted to km. New canvas top and a new full, tonneau cover. The engine has been completely overhauled with many special, improved parts from the well-known MG specialist Peter Edney, of course suitable for unleaded petrol, equipped with programmable CSI ignition in an original housing. All chrome parts have been re-chromed or replaced. American title included, the car has had an identity test done by the RDW (Dutch vehicle authority) , it hasn’t had a periodic inspection due to the coronavirus. Unfortunately forced to sell it due to a knee replacement. The car can be viewed in Delfzijl, the Netherlands.
