Shin Gunto Katana Sword. This numbers matching katana features a signed blade - bearing the stamp "40" and (3) "W" stamps, a metal saya (scabbard) with one hanger bearing (4) "IIII" and an "X", a tsuba (gaurd) bearing the stamp "40", habaki bearing (4) "IIII" and an "X", koiguchi bearing (4) "IIII" and an "X" fuchi bearing the stamp "40", handle (tsuka) bearing an impressed stamp on wood throat "40", and (4) seppa each bearing the stamp "40". From a Westchester, NY estate. Dimensions: cutting edge measures approx. 26" in length. Overall blade length is 34.25".
