The Enchanted Princess of Oz was to be published in 1935 as a sequel, but a lawsuit by Reilly and Lee prevented the manuscript's issuance. This illustration inscribed to Oz collector Fred M. Meyer twenty years later is believed to be the only surviving original artwork from the second Oz book by L. Frank Baum's son.
