Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing red and white wrapped floral double gourd vase. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, suspending a tall cylindrical neck, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, with a flori shape opening. All reserved in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the iron red fine color. The exterior decorated with abundant big flowers blooms interspersed with scrolling interlocking tendril and enclosed with double fine red rings lines. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
