Chinese Ming Dynasty LongQing Yellow and Red Porcelain Gourd Bottle. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slighty concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in red base color which contrast against yellow fine color, depicted of flying phoenix and imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiration.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years LongQing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.
