MISSOURI STONEWARE VESSEL IN SCHIFFERLE TIN PAT'D 1876
A rare, presumably Missouri, glazed stoneware coffee pot made without a handle or cover for Fridolin Schifferle, a maker of iron stoves and related items in St. Louis Missouri in the 1870s. The handle-less pot was made to be mounted with Schifferle's patented iron handle, tin bands, tin spout protector and hollow dome lid, the assembly is stamped as such near the base: 'PAT. JUN, 27, 1876, F. SCHIFFERLE, ST. LOUIS, MO.'
Measures 9.75 x 11 inches.

Condition Report: Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear, considerable oxidation and missing the hinged lid's finial.
