M'KEE DIAMOND OPEN COMPOTE, blue, bowl with wide scallop and point rim, raised on a hexagonal facetted standard stepped to a circular foot, wafer construction. M'Kee & Brother(s). 1870-1890. 9 3/4" H, 10" D rim, 5 1/2" D foot.
Excellent condition overall with some scattered chipping to the stem and a flake to the base edge.

Catalogue Note: This pattern bowl also appears in the 1864, 1868, and 1871 M'Kee catalogues raised on a different base. Those catalogues refer to the pattern as "Scallop Diamond."
