MODEL 1842 US PERCUSSION MUSKET
Made at Springfield Armory from 1844-1855. Features a 42" smooth bore barrel, .69 caliber, iron mountings, period ramrod, full length walnut stock, three bands, no rear sight, all parts originally browned with case color lock. Lock plate is dated 1847 with Springfield. All metal is deep, dark patina. Legends are sharp. Wrist is cracked but could be easily repaired. Many of these early weapons were used in the Civil War. A
