MONAKOE, Slim Aarons (After) Visual of a device printed on photo paper, framed, 40 X 40 Cm, signed in the plate,

Born on May 10, 1980 in London, England, MONAKOE is an Anglo-Korean artist and designer who is considered a key figure in contemporary art. Attracted since childhood by art and drawing, MONAKOE joined the Central Saint Martins art school at the age of 18. Quickly tired of advertising drawings,

He left the establishment at the end of the first year and enrolled at The University of the Arts London. Immersed in the intellectual and artistic ferment of London in the 2000s, MONAKOE will therefore use the city as a support for his creativity. Inspired by the graffiti that covers the city's walls, he will choose unused advertising panels from the corridors of the London underground to create his drawings and make them visible to as many people as possible. It is also inspired by vintage characters, bowler hat and leather boots, the pop atmospheres of Cranaby Street, Boy George.

MONAKOE quickly gained recognition in the pop art world and his first exhibitions met with great success.
