Lithographed Letter Signed, written in English on letterhead to the Worshipful Mayor of the English town of Walsall.
“The great interest which has ever been taken in the Holy Land by all classes and creeds, induces me to believe that you Sir, and many of your townsmen and citizens, would like to be informed of its state and the condition of its inhabitants and institutions. I have therefore the pleasure to ask your acceptance of the accompanying copy of my “Narrative of a Forty Day Sojourn in the Holy Land” to be placed in one of the libraries in your town, accessible to those who may feel desirous of perusing it.”

The book that Sir Moses magnanimously presented to the town of Walsall, was a detailed account of his seventh pilgrimage to Eretz Israel, where he investigated the state of the country’s religious, educational and charitable institutions.
