The document, diploma of the Montessori International Training Course, in Italian, awarded to Clara Louise Dixon. Countersigned by Maria Maraini Guerrieri-Gonzaga, and Etta De Viti De Marco. 14x17 inches; markedly dampstained at lower right affecting signatures, mounted, complete horizontal tear with minor loss to text, paper seal mostly intact. The book, "to you dear Dixon / with best wishes," on the front free endpaper. 8vo, publisher's cloth, moderately worn, spine ends and edges fraying; front gathering starting to come loose, one detached plate laid in, moderate foxing to preliminaries and subsidiaries including inscribed page, Dixon's owner inscription at upper right of signed page, bookplate on front pastedown. Sold as is. Rome, June 1914; London, 1912; inscription: circa 1914
