MONTIER-en-DER Pitcher with a stepped shoulder, tasseled thumbhole, and molding at the narrowest part of the neck. Markings on the outer bottom: 1) Crowned “C” / (MONTIE)R AN DER / 1756, 2) a crowned hammer / R T, Rémi I Tisset, master potter circa 1760, 3) calibration mark on the bowl: a fleur-de-lis surmounted by a label. A very fine example from the second half of the 18th century.
