Volume IV: The Mountains of California, Volume 1, 301 pp. 1916. Volume V: The Mountains of California, Volume II, 309 pp., 1916. Volume VI: Our National Parks, 400 pp., 1916. Volume VII: (edited by William Frederic Bade) The Cruise of the Corwin: Journal of the Arctic Expedition of 1881 in Search of De Long and the Jeannette, 304 pp., 1918. Volume VIII: Steep Trails: California, Utah, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, The Grand Canon, 391 pp., 1918. Volume IX: The Life and Letters of John Muir, Volume I (by William Frederic Bade), 399 pp., 1923. Volume X: The Life and Letters of John Muir, Volume II (by William Frederic Bade), 454 pp., 1924. Some fading and wear. Generally a sound set.

The two manuscripts in the first volumes are from The Mountains of California; one is from chapter 6, "The Glacier Lakes"; the other from chapter 16, "The Bee-Pastures."
