This bottling of Macallan Sherry Oak is aged for a quarter of a century in European oak casks seasoned with Xeres, a great wine from Spain. This rare 25 year old is bottled at 43% in a sublime and understated wooden case. Due to its prolonged ageing in this type of cask, this single malt has a rich natural mahogany colour and aromas of citrus, toffee, sherry and burnt wood. The palate is full-bodied with notes of sultanas, ripe cherries, dark chocolate, candied fruit cake and gingerbread. A real nugget from the iconic Macallan distillery.
