The whisky is part of the Anecdotes of Ages collection, created in collaboration with world-renowned British pop artist Sir Peter Blake, marking the third collaboration between The Macallan and the artist. Specially designed to commemorate Sir Peter Blake's visit to The Macallan Estate on the River Spey, this special single malt pays tribute to some of the colourful characters in The Macallan's history, with a label designed by Sir Peter himself. Inspired by the artist's personality, Sarah Burgess, Macallan's Lead Whisky Maker, has created a classic style whisky with surprising notes of treacle and black pepper. The box includes not only the bottle, but also an artwork printed on parchment representing the Anecdotes of Ages collection, with detailed information about each character chosen by Sir Peter for his artwork. \r
