Feuchtigkeitsflecken, vereinzelt etw. stockfleckig. Insgesamt jedoch sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar.With woodcut title vignette. Cont. leather binding over 5 bands with gilt spine (joint and capitals professionally restored, somewhat stained). - Earliest edition of the first complete edition of Machiiavelli's writings called "Edizione della testina", of which five variants are known. - Inside cover with traces of removed seals, title page with ownership entry by old hand, illegible stamp and repaired defect lower left, the first few quires with unobtrusive dampstain at centrefold and throughour with small dampstains in lower white margin, occasional foxing.
