French Protectorate. Ranavalona III silver Proof Uniface Pattern 5 Francs 1895 PR64 NGC, Lec-30,37 (obverse), Gad-9,10 (obverse, in silver). Possibly a trial strike for the "unofficial" Dr. Reginald Huth commissions that were produced by Pinches & Co. of London. The same obverse was used for two types of "pattern" 5 Francs issues that were created in many different metals.
