The French artist has been immersed in the art world since her youth. Her grandfather, Henri Rouart, was a well-known painter and a great collector. The same was true of her father: his collection included works by Delacroix, Degas or Isabey. Madeleine Rouart can be seen in a painting by Degas in 1905 and kept in the Petit Palais in Paris. She had a major exhibition at the Bernheim Gallery in 1923. The Rouart family is well known in the history of art. From 1st June 2021 to 10th October 2021, the Musée des Beaux-arts of the city of Paris (Petit Palais) will host an exhibition of works by Henri Rouart, Henry Lerolle, Maurice Denis and Augustin Rouart thanks to a donation from Jean-Marie Rouart.
