Maestro italiano del '600 - San Giuseppe con Gesù bambino

[ translate ]

\Artist: Maestro italiano del '600
Technique: Watercolour\Signature: Not signed
Fine and important work from the seventeenth century, charcoal and watercolour on paper. Size: approx 32 x 21 cm, with original eighteenth-century frame, restored: 50. 5 x 37. 8 cm. It is a high quality work, much more than just a drawing, as it uses watercolour and charcoal. It is probably placed between Bologna and Rome at the beginning of the seventeenth century: the quality of the drapery, the quality of the pose, the finesse of the faces and expressions demonstrate the hand of a master of the highest level. In very good condition: the paper shows natural signs of aging, some small stains and very slight tears or abrasions of a few millimetres. There are some horizontal signs of folding of the paper. The paper has very little yellowing and oxidation, which proves that it is high quality paper, usually reserved for the most important masters. Please note that in case of international sale, the item will be shipped after obtaining the export document. This generally implies a wait of about 30/45 days. To date, due to Covid-19, its completion is further postponed to the reopening of the appointed offices. In the case of purchase, buyers are reminded to provide their tax code to issue an electronic invoice. All works for sale by Tesori d’Arte are provided with certificate of authenticity and lawful origin in original copy.
