Dame Magdalene Anyango Odundo (Kenyan/English, b. 1950). Burnished and carbonized terra cotta vase, 1985. The vase stands on a narrow foot, with a full, round body that rises up from the shoulder to a slender neck and asymmetrical flaring rim. Incised signature and date along the underside.
