Magic: The Gathering Demonic Hordes Limited Edition (Alpha) BGS Trading Card Game Mint 9 (Wizards of the Coast, 1993) Rare. Wizards of the Coast released the Alpha Edition on August 5th, 1993, with the cards receiving incredibly limited print runs. Only 1100 of each rare card were printed in this groundbreaking edition, making each copy that comes along an event of note. And offered here is the rare card Demonic Hordes! This Summon Demons card reads: "Tap to destroy 1 land. Pay BBB during upkeep or the Hordes become tapped and you lose a land of opponent's choice." Note that "BBB" was a misprint; it should be three black mana symbols. BGS has awarded the following sub-grades: centering (8.5), edges (9), corners (9), and surface (9.5).
