This interesting ‘Nkisi’ with an elongated neck, shaped from rings, and distinctive cubist head was charged by the shaman with special rituals and lots of 'magical material'. Hollowed out in the left upper of the figure is a magical window, which gives the priest a glimpse into the world of the spirits. The Nkisi are said to protect their owners from diseases, sorcery and bad luck of all kinds, as well as ensure happiness and fertility.
